Iran is under some sanctions, one of them is not gas but they are now rationing gas, an unspecific qouta is inplace. They, like other countries subsidize each liter of gas to the point that gas has been costing any Iranian a whole 8 cents a liter until now, it has gone up to 10 cents a liter.
What bothers me is that how unfair this really is to the poor iranians, I mean how can these people survive with such an increase in fuel and what sacrifices will they have to make to buy a liter of gas - maybe they will have to sacrifice feta cheese with their meals in order to get by.
