While waiting on the shipping department to find our load, we ran into a truck driver who claimed he used to work for Panther. He was full of outrageous claims of course. Helped pass the time, lol. He says he knew the owner of Panther, that if they gave him small packages he would simply Fed Ex them, and then call Panther and say he was still in the same location and they could pay him anyway. He said he would call the consigned and tell the, when the load was delivered fax him the signed paperwork. The owner of Panther called and said although he really liked him, you just can't do that. really? I might add, he drives a company big truck for a flatbed company and says he makes 7000 a month and usually makes more than most teams. Sometimes you just have to smile and get a good laugh.
