Folks:
I'm a newbie to this forum and am in need of some help. I have been tasked with replacing our 2000 GMC W4500 16 foot cube van. I know it's an Isuzu, and it has served us very well.
There are two additions for the replacement truck. A tuck under 2500 pound power lift gate, and a power inverter in the box to charge my electric pallet truck.
I have talked to numerous dealers who all are directing me to purchase a cutaway van to be up-fitted as I need. Herein lies my question. At 159 inch wheel base and 14,500 gross, with a loaded 2500 pound lift does the body flex very much? I'm concerned because everything I see has the box connected to the cab unlike my current set up. I'm concerned about the box/cab interface integrity.
Should I be concerned or should I be looking at something else entirely?
The organization I work for is a non-profit, and can't afford me making a mistake of this magnitude.
Thanks in advance. Your help is greatly appreciated.
