My wife wanted to change her blackberry after seeing all the great new phones that are out. So we went out yesterday and picked up the newest Samsung Galaxy S.
Beautiful 4" screen, android operating system, looked great.
And then I had to plug it in to my computer so I could use the Kies software to transfer her music and video files. Right away windows didn't recognize the phone, and the software from the Samsung site kept crashing.
40 minutes on the phone with tech support to discover that the software doesn't work with Windows 7 64 bit but Samsung is "working on a fix".
Nice job Samsung. It's like building a Ferrari but having no transmission.
It's being returned today for a Blackberry Torch.
This isn't an indictment to the android system which looked great but a big 2 finger salute to Samsung.
