driving, no experience

To save me alot of time calling around and bothering recruiters when they may be busy doing other things, I will ask this question here so that y'all may respond at your leisure.
Can a person get accepted at any of your companies to own/drive a "D" unit truck (FL80 w/24x102) having no experience driving a unit that size? I will be getting my CDL "B" w/hazmat if I can be assured of being able to drive for one of your companies, if I meet all of the other driver qualifications.

Sincerely,
Larry Badger

Panther requires no experience, and if I'm not mistaken, so does FXCC. It's not the same as it used to be. Not only do they want you to go to an orientation now, but they want you to magically grow experience too :7

Larry, I can speak only for Express-1, but we do require 2 years experience in straight trucks and tractors. It is a regulation that is required by our insurance company. There are some specific circumstances that can gain you some extra experience points, but we're looking for 2 years as a rule. Thanks, and best wishes -X

Scott,
Thanks for the reply, I was expecting to hear that but was hopeful it might not be the case. I understand why insurance companies have that rule in general. Thing is, I drove around Michigan here for 20 years pulling a 20 foot trailer with all my equipment on it in my landscaping business, not once in that time did I ever have a scratch on anything. No tickets, no accidents, spotless DMV record, you'd think that might work a bit in my favor though eh? I called around lately in search of finding an insurance carrier myself and was told the same thing, no experience with that size vehicle, no coverage, understandable. In my search, I was looking for someone who could underwrite me for a $2 Million non-trucking liability limit; several agents I spoke with didn't know who or what to call to ask about that. I would have no less than that though if I were able to get covered. My wife, an attorney, has told me of so many cases where people were ruined, especially sole proprietors, because in many accident claims $1 Million seems to be a base starting point when assigning awards. Thanks for the info Scott.
