Actually, maintaining a "dating" / "courting" relationship with one's spouse could be argued to be the most important thing on the list. Relationships require ongoing attention.

My wife and I have what we call date nights. Usually on friday nights when we have the extra money. Her family thinks its so funny that we call ourselves going on a date. The funny thing about it is anytime I've heard a preacher talk about maintaining your marriage in church they always say you have to continue to date one another among other things. They always say especially after kids. I wouldn't know. Hopefully we'll find out one of these days if we can find a kid to adopt.
Every so often we do weekends away which keeps the fires burning.
Being together 24/7 has it's pros and cons... I find myself getting irritated at stuff that normally would not bother me- the way he humms, breathes, laughs, orders food, walks, talks on the phone ect... LOL! When I'm feeling like that I know i am just tired, a day of sleep with the truck not moving makes all the diff in attitude. I used to ask to take me places- but I have my CDL, got mad one day- and drove it myself to where I wanted to go.. best thing I ever did- now I have more confidence to drive other than just on Hwy. We do have alot of fun, it's what you make it! Hey, I could be stuck behind a desk all day, answering phone calls, and watching the clock for 5 to hurry up and come!
