Driving for someone else?

I've been on this board for some time. I posted back around Apr./May '08 that I was looking at driving for a owner out of Rock Hill SC. That didn't happen, and signed on with Schneider National, since I needed to be re-trained  When I got home, I took on taking care of my Grandkids, due to a situation with daughter & son-in-law. That's over, so here I am, looking for work again.

I miss commercial driving, and most of what it entails, very much. I don't miss the away from home time, but realize it's a necessary evil, especially if one wants to make any kind of a living from driving.

What I don't want to do, and couldn't even if I wanted to, is own my own truck, again.

So my questions are:

Are there any good sources for finding fleet owners who hire drivers?

Do any of the companies have this info?

Who and what are Expedited Services?

That's a start, I guess. Nice to see a lot of people from 2 years ago still on here and doing (seem to be) Ok.

Thanks.

Not quite sure why this my post was moved, especially after just reading the thread started by Janette, who is completely new to expediting.

I'm not new to expediting, just to not being a o/o, and driving for someone else.
