So if you get pulled in whats the protocol for these fun events, Truck Inspection, Paperwork Inspection, Medical card, License, Load paperwork, Load securement,
Tires, Lights, Brakes, what else have you had Inspected, Detected and Rejected...

Ive had one Level One inspection in all 13 years of driving, does it seem that there expanding these each year, seeking STATISTICS to use to pass more and more legislation or Regulations....

I listened on Road dog radio many guys say I take vacation that week, I wish I could but Ive always prided myself on being LEGAL.....making sure those logs are right and filled out in full, etc

Any suggestions ????

Thanks to John Mueller, I copied this from the other thread
Tips to help you through any inspections:
* Keep your log book current - that means updating that logbook each time your duty status changes, or at least once every 4 hours;
* Perform extra thorough Pre-trip inspections. Eliminate those lighting and/or mechanical issues that can easily be corrected prior to a DOT Inspector discovering them;
* Clean your truck. Get rid of any old oil leak residue;
* Ensure your permit book, insurance, registration and Annual vehicle Inspection is all up to date;
* Be professional when dealing with the inspectors.

That's good advice from John. I just have to chuckle at the guys who take the week off. If you properly maintain your truck so that it will pass a level 1, what's the problem? I guess they don't do that...

Seriously, it's just a level 1 inspection. I've got a stack of 'em in my permit book and I could always use one more.

I do t understand the problem. We get inspected all the time. Got a stack of level 1s I our book. Passed every one with not so much as a warning or note. And we get a bonus everyone we pass a level 1! So bring em on!!! Dinners on the Dot!!!
