doctor desperately needs your help

A while back I informed ya all about my doctor wanting to charge
$1500 / year fee for me to be his patient. Now this was just a , well a gift, as all regular charges would be over and above the $1500.
Now a lot of you came to his defense and ridiculed me for thinking this folly.
Here is your chance to save this prescriber of fun stuff like drugs and such.
Yes, for a mere $1500 you can show just how much you really appreciate all his schooling, and expensive equipment and dedication.
Dont be shy, it is only one decent run per year for you to step up to the plate.

Well, not to worry, since the response by his 9000 patients was "less than enthusiastic" he has decided to recant and cure the masses without the $1500 fee.

There I saved ya yer lunch money for the next quarter.

Why in the world would people pay a doctor across the country from them? You were given legitimate numbers showing how the largest part of that fee from the 600 patients would be gone in overhead, insurance, salaries, supplies, student loans, etc. and not going into his pocket. Would he still make a very nice income? I'm sure he would. Rather than denigrating the doctor or the members here why not go back to school and then go to medical school and then specialize and in a decade (minimum but maybe more) you'll be a third of a million dollars in debt but qualified to be a doctor and have folks bad mouth you for trying to get paid what you think you're worth too.

Now before ya get all huffy about this poor doctor trying to pay
for his lunch, I have been friends with him for longer than you have been alive.
He has made his millions, ( deservedly so ) by being a good practioner, not by being a Doctors Club.
I fight to be paid what I feel I am worth, dont care what you think about it, I only share my opinion as all the fine members here do on a variety of topics, including mine.
You dont have to like my opinions nor my like yours, you know opinions are like.........well lets just say they are like, and we all have em and express them.
Its ( variety) what makes the world go round.
How boring a place this would be if we didnt have differences.

Ya all can tell me how wrong I am to laugh at my doctors attempt to be a club with dues, your right, as it mine to expound on it a little further.

My doc is a great doc, lives in a home I couldnt pay the utilities on, have been a regular house guest for years, as he is at my shanty, he is a terrible golfer and I take him for everything I can when we hit the links.
I told him to his face, it was a STUPiD IDEA, of course I did it when he was doing for a bird and not diagnosing my symptoms.

He saw the light of his folly.
He can live with it.
We are still friends, and he now is still my doctor.
None of the above would have cancelled our t-times.

Thats why, I guess.
