I am working on getting my cdl-b license, and when I called the clinic here in Trenton,MI They asked me if I needed a drug screen also. What's the best way to go? Should I wait on the drug screen in hopes the company will give me one or do it on my own.

Just best to wait on that until you start the job. Even if you get one now, they will probably make you take another one when you start, and in most cases they pick up the cost of the screening. So you don't need to spend your own money now for one.

Weave is correct,the carrier you are interested in will most likely want you to take the test at one of their approved locations.

Thank you for the help. I have been lurking for a long time and find the web site to be a great source for help. I hope to get a job driving in the near future, Was driving a chev 6500 series flatbed tow truck for about three years,And enjoyed being on the road. I covered parts of MI OH and ONT CANADA.
