Cost of a D Unit

Sorry to fill up so many slots with my questions, but this is kind of exciting...hey a guy's gotta learn.

How much would a new straight truck D unit with a sleeper cab and a 22 foot box roughly/ballpark cost - a reliable model?

The way trucks option out it is hard to give a good ballpark. Try looking at truckpaper.com they have prices for new and used. I was just at Alumi-bunk and they are listing the prices on the window now, I saw prices from the high 70s to the low 90s. Just depends how much you have to spend, or how much you want your payment to be.

Starting in the mid 50's and going as high as you would like.

There wa C truck operating that the owners spent about $280,000 on it.However last December it was involved in an accident and burned to the ground. Thing to remember is that do you want to work for the truck or for yourself? You can get a decent Class 7 truck in the mid 70!s or you can go the Class 8 route with a tractor cab and spend well over a 100K.

Hey Rich I had asked about the husband and wife that ran that truck sometime ago to see if they were doing O.K. I had read that there were some kind of back injuries and that they were not sure if they would ever drive over the road again, do you or anyone with-in EO have a idea. Thank you
