A few days ago in another thread I described a procedure for displaying the engine hours on a GM Duramax powered truck and I gave some wrong information. x(
The correct procedure is: turn the key to the ACCESSORY position, press and hold the odometer reset button for 5 to 7 seconds and the engine operating hours will be displayed on the odometer display.
This works on my '02 GMC Sierra with a Duramax diesel engine. Mine currently displays - h4623.2
I don't know what other model years have this feature and I don't know if it works on vehicles with gas engines. Perhaps someone can try it and report their results.
