Can anyone tell me why a CONWAY NOW Trailer was shipped by railway piggyback to Los Angeles recently?
A picture was posted on a train modellers list.

It certainly surprised me to see that picture. I guessed it was a new trailer on delivery. Is Conway Now setting up a California operation?

We do have a 'deferred program', sometimes another of our companies, i.e. CCX, CSE, or CWX will use a piece of our equipment when they do not have their own. Another reason, sometimes we have to "ramp" a trailer and get out to a tractor in California.

We do not expedite via the Railroad, just as soon put a contractor on the job. Besides it costs too much to put it on a rail car.
