i have a nc class b cdl and 15 years military driving experience any advice on getting started in the business.

The first suggestion would be to read back at least a year in the general, newbies and recruiter forums. That doesn't mean read every word but read through the ones with titles that catch your attention. That will give you enough foundation to build on to ask specific questions and distinguish good answers from bad. Good luck.
