Afternoon everyone,

I am pleased to report that the situation has redeemed itself to our satisfaction.

I am wondering if you understand that a 'class action' suit may not net you a lot if it is approved by a judge. It may be settled to repair the unit and if you owe anything, than they may pay it off but that's it.

I think an individual suit that is coordinated could be more effective, if there are enough defective units out there.

Afternoon everyone,

Anyone else who has experienced any problems please email us @ [email protected], putting Carrier Class Action in subject line.

I think it is obvious that most everybody has had problems with thier Carrier APUs.
A class action lawsuit would need to describe a specific installation mistake that would make the company at fault and liable. Can you provide any specifics??

As Greg stated, your individual award stemming from a class action lawsuit may be much less than a private lawsuit if you are seeking renumeration.
The class action lawsuit is a good way to teach a company a lesson because the overall cost to the company can be very high due to the large number of people effected and it is more prone to media coverage.

If this "faulty" installation could possibly be endangering drivers then please provide some specifics so all Carrier APU users (on this forum anyway) will have the knowledge to get the problem fixed and/or get involved in this initial lawsuit.
