LANDSTAR IS SENDIND ME STATEMENT OF MONEY THEY HAVE TAKEN OUT FOR VALOREM TAX. I'M JUST STARTING TO GET THE STATEMENTS THIS YEAR.IF I DRIVE IN KY IT'S 0.OO48 PER MILE AND TN IS 0.0046 PER MILE ARE THERE ANY OTHER STATES THAT HAVE THIS TAX? WHEN DID IT GO INTO EFFECT? I HAVE BEEN WITH LANSTAR FOR 5 YEARS AND THEY HAVE KNOW JUST STARTED THIS CARGO VAN AD VALOREM TAX. x(

Yeah, I couldn't beleive it either when we started getting that tax taken out. You know Landstar, anything that makes them a buck, just like the LCN fee. I just bet bet now that we switched to qualcomm that will go up too. At least Landstar's bigwigs aren't starving

Its goona get worse...

Ky charges $.0285 cents/mile just to drive through. Additionally, They charge me a personal property tax based on age and value of equipment and % of miles in Ky vs. everywhere. This is all on top of the IFTA tax of .12/gallon and surcharge of .052/gallon.
