I really love questions like this!!! My dad was a 37 yr. veteran truck driver O/O. He used to tell me that "It takes money to make money" AND he was right--to an extent. Do'nt ask me how it happened,But with 300 dollars and a beat up chevy van, I started a business and ended up owning a carnival with 14 rides, 2 food trailers, games and the works. In seven years, Well lets just say I was grossing thousands of dollars on a 3 day weekend. It became too much work for my wife and I to handle at our age. So-- We sold the business and will still (according to our sales contract) have a substansial income from it for years to come. Also at my age,56, I just went to Nashville and recorded a CD that will be released soon by my own publishing company and on my own record label.---Thomas Edison could probably tell you thousands of ways that a light bulb wo'nt burn!!! On the other hand he could tell you one way that it will. Many people have been quite successful in the past at owning and operating 24" straight trucks. You're not any less capable than any of those folks. Planning and scrutiny will help. Life is short, and you have only one life to live. TODAY is the first day of the rest of your life!!! SO---FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS. Good luck and God Bless
