Hey Ya'all
I heard on Truckin' Bozo the other night;caller said that Qual-Com mesage from his company said no commercial vehicles could use the G.W. Bridge to run up north on I-95. Drivers would have to use I-287 to I-87 then I-84. Any of you hear this or have any info on it or is it just another rumor?
Thanks Jimmy

GW was fully open to trucks as of this past Wed., July 16 when I went over it, in both directions. So probably rumor from the Bozo.

If that is a rumor (which I don’t doubt) and you heard it on Bozo’s Clown show no doubt some local started it trying to control traffic on the bridge.

May have been some ongoing construction going on. I always avoid that route when I go into New England. If I am coming north I take NJ Rt 17 N to I 287E ,cross the Tapanzee Bridge then I 684N to I 84 E and on up through Hartford area to Boston. It!s about 5 miles more but you avoid that Cross Bronx Parkway mess. You can also take from Ft Lee NJ at the GW Bridge, Highway 9w to Nyack NY and pick up I 287 there.
