I had a Jr. firefighter tell me about a documentary on Netflix about the Detroit fire dept. Burn.
Not bad, kinda slow but really spells out the crap stick fire departments are continually beaten with when it comes to funding.
I was able to contain myself when I started to feel the try being in a rural volunteer agency response. Obviously, it hits a home nerve especially when we all see the wasteful spending our of government officials.
I would encourage everyone to watch this and perhaps volunteer or donate to a volunteer F.D. Even if you offer some of your time, and resources to one of your local fire stations. If your town or city provided carrier firefighters there are usually volunteer positions as a fire fighter and the same training a full time carrier fire fighter receives is usually provided for free.
Its the ultimate rush and best of all, no dirty urine screen!
