Beware Petro if you're paying cash...

The last two times I fueled at Petro, I was notified of "credit same as cash". Anyone who knows how this works, it's not that they lower credit to the cash price; they raise cash to the credit price! I pay cash, and thus, I expect to pay a CASH price! I go to Petro when I can because they take debit as CASH; whereas everywhere else, it's taken as credit.

Don't buy fuel at the Scranton (Avoca), PA Petro!!! It was .24 more than the J 30 miles west. To me, that's scalping. Unfortunately, unless you look up prices or call ahead, you don't know the difference coming out of NY. And to think I blamed PA for the higher prices, until I passed the next Pilot on 80 and realized I was a sucker! :p

The few times I've called I couldn't get pricing by phone. I already knew the price the website claimed and was only asking for verification, not even truly asking what it was. I presume they refuse to quote it fearing they'll lose business when you hear the price. It seems they'd also gain business at times and it should even out.

The ones I hate are those that won't post their price except at the pump (no signs by the road). The TA IndyWest comes to mind. Of course if I was charging what they are charging most of the time, I wouldn't post it either.
This was back when I drove a diesel. I won't by gas there either as long as it is a Citgo.

Coming back from Cali this last trip I stopped at the T/A to fuel and have purchased a butt load of fuel from them last year, long and short is the "J" 40 miles down the road was $3.199 a gal versus $3.439 at the T/A..
I have noticed that the the franchise T/A's (Indy comes to mind) gouge the ##### out of customers on fuel and to ##### with them..
I am not going to finance the overhaul of the outdated and poorly managed T/A.
"J" fuel for this truck...
