Belly Box

I want to get my Hubby a belly box for Christmas. I measured all his "accessories" that he needs to fit in it. He needs a 36"x18"x18". The problems is the frame bolts are exactly 36" inches apart. 2 -24" boxes would be too small. Do you have any suggestions or have any advise on how to work around the frame bolts? Any help is greatly appreciated.

we have being shopping around for a belly box for some time now , and will buy one on the way home shortlly
we have decided to go with a top mounted box
problem :
you will have to install it ,as it dose not come with any mounting bolts ext.
advantage :
price ,and you can buy it just everywhere ,
tractor supply, northern tools & fleet farm(thats a Minnesota base company's),lowes(we will not buy there,we dont like Jimmy...),... Ext.
and durability -more options as to where to mount it on the truck.
just about 200-250 $ for a box your size.

The biggest problem I see with that is it opens on the top. Kinda hard to use on my truck. I can't picture how to mount one in a way it can be used. Who is "Jimmy" and what does he have to do with Lowes? I must be missing something. Layoutshooter

I have found a box he would like on Ebay Motors with the mounting brackets, and the size I want. My plan for now is to have a 2 inch channel welded onto the back of the brackets; pushing it out past the frame bolts and adding a couple of support rails to it. I was hoping someone else I already overcome this problems and had an easier/faster fix. Do you think my idea would work?

you can either buy a longer box or drill the frame with an extra hole, but you can mount that box with the existing frame bolts
