Backhauls?

I was on another forum and saw an ad for this site.

I am not a driver yet, but I read a lot about guys trying to get out of dead areas sometimes. Couldn't a guy grab a few of these shipments to get out of a bad area? I see most are for private individuals, however I did see some commercial LTL loads listed. Can an expeditor grab a private parties load or are there things in the contract that do not allow it?

Just curious if anyone uses this or something similiar. When I start driving I would rather have some of the expense covered getting back to a good freight area.

In fact, Apollo, we can get some LTL or something along those lines to get out of a "bad" area. Some companies work it different with what cut they are taking out of the run. Some take 30%, some tka emore or less. It's all dependent upon the lease and driver agreements that are in place with you and your company (when you start driving).

And there are some places that have tons of resources for this... getloaded.com and gps411.com are a couple that I know of and have used in the past.

Critter Truckin,

I like your tag line, but if it wasn't for someones poor planning we wouldn't have Expedite Freight. So I hope there is alot of poor planning going on in the manufacturing worlds purchasing Dept., because we make money taking care of that emergency.
