Like to hear what kind of average weight that the sprinter 2500 are offer when you get a call for a load?

I know it can be for 5 lbs. to maybe 3000 lbs.(for some),but are you offered more under 2000 or over 2000?

My last 10 loads have been under a 1,000 cept for to-day at 1360lbs....remember we are just an over sized cargo van, nothing special cept the height...most of my sprinter type loads are because they are over 48" high.

OVM,yes I understand about the van part, but I've been getting loads(before Christmas) and set for 3 or 4 days before I was even offered something,so what I'm was trying to see if the sleeper is really hurting me that bad.All the loads I've been getting are 20 to 500lbs.

So,I'm looking to see if it's worth cutting back on some of the stuff in the sleeper.I'm not really wanting to do that, if I'm still going to be setting like that.

I can only take 2500 and I am glad that I can't see what gets by me because others can/will take on more weight. There is another way of looking at it...maybe nothing is passing you by ? Sitting for days get to some the mind starts whirling with what ifs..
what if I could take 3 skids..
what if I could take 4 skids..
what if I could take 2500lbs..
what if I could take 3000 lbs..

Trust me the thinking never stops...the nagging thoughts will continue until you are in your comfort zone! Good luck...:)

This biz seems to cycle around...one time you'll do the north/south routes for weeks and then you'll do east/west for awhile...same goes for loads....sometimes ya hit a whack of light ones which is good and then you'll get a mess of heavy ones...go figure...

That 8550 is your GVW. What did your van weigh when you went down the street when you signed on? That weight less the 8550 = the weight you can carry.

I get a lot of loads with 3 skids up to 2900 lbs.

8550 is our gvw there Eddie..and he weighs 6900 on the street,,so that leaves him 1650 for cargo..legally.

Well, did some changing to the inside today:removed frig;tv;down sized the tool box;had 5 weeks worth of clothes and went back with 3wks.worth;had 4 extra batteries, now only 2 and took the passager seat out(I wouldn't of thought that seat was 100lbs.)and etc.........Well,you get the picture. Drove down to the CAT scales and now I'm at 6400lbs.

See if that will help.

Going to hurt a little without some of the luxuries.

Is your bunk particleboard or plywood? Particleboard is almost twice the weight of plywood...

Good now you are 2,000 lbs...:)
