Auto or Manual Tranny in a Straight Truck

I have to option to drive a Straight Truck for Panther II... I will be paid by the mile.... Is this good???

Now to the question......

He has an Automatic and a 7 speed tranny; What is better???


On the 7 speed I hated shifting in school because they always wanted me to double Clutch...... Would I have to on a 7 speed tranny?? When down shifting can you just get it down to 1000 RPM and shift it down?? I am sure if I have to take the 7 speed I will be grinding alot until I get use to it.... Hope someone can help.......



P.S. Is there Driver parking at Pather so I can park my car as I will be driving my personal car there and meeting the truck owner..........

If it was me I'd go automatic.It gets pretty crowded at PII offfice I'd look for another option.Let the boss drive your car back to his house or get somebody to drive you to the office.I'd like to hear how others has taken care of the parking problems.
