ATTN: SMART OWNER OPERATORS

My company is owned and operated by a former owner operator who has been out there on the road for 22 years of his life and has now started his own brokerage firm. We hope to establish our own group of people to run to and from all points in the U.S. and also local and dedicated runs (we are based in Jacksonville, FL). Those who join our carrier list now will be glad they did in the future. We are targeting freight of all kinds and for all types of equipment. We are not targeting cheap freight. We are eliminating layover time and basing our business on timely deliveries with both LTL and truckload shipments. We are trying to eliminate as many dead head miles as possible. Not just loading a truck and not caring how he gets back. Some lanes, as you know, are tougher than others to round trip. And I'm sure you are all aware of how hard it is to get out of Florida. You usually find a great rate getting in, but you cry heading out. We are trying to balance that out. That is our goal. Most other companies care about loading the truck one way. We have a new concept and we will try our best to load as man trucks as possible both ways. After all, there is no such thing a backhaul. You certainly burn as much fuel both ways. With the rising cost of fuel we feel this can and will be a sucessful business and we want to keep our owner-operators not only alive but profitable. I hear talk everyday of the owner-operators being a dying breed. I think different. And intend to prove that. If you work with us and help us establish a reputation of timely deliveries and excellent service we will help each other to operate in a very troublesome industry. We have seen our hard times also. Or as they say "been there and done that". We are real people just like you trying to make our business profitable and credible. We want to make a profit to survive but not a killing. We feel there are too many middlemen taking pieces of the pie that should be going to the people forming the work. That is one major problem in this industry today. We intend to remain a private corporation and not be told by a roomful of stockholders, sharholders and other investors what we need to do. It will take some time for us to grow because our target is not cheap freight or neccesarily volume freight. But freight that we can all make a small profit from. We have come a long way and still have a long journey ahead. But be assured that every day we are hammering away to secure more good accounts and building our customer and carrier list. We may only make a small difference in an enormous industry but we feel that every little bit counts. Our reputation may be a small one, but not a cheap one. And that's what matters to us. We are fighting everyday to get back some of the revenue that has been taken away from the trucks by companies slashing rates and cuting each others throats.
Please contact us and stay in touch. Call and actually get a live person, e-mail and get a response. We also work weekends.
