Baseball fans, let's play a game of "College Baseball Scout". In "College Baseball Scout" I'll tell you about a high school baseball player, and you tell me if you would or wouldn't recomend him for recruitment at you university.

This player has played baseball since he was 5 years old. He has also played all star baseball since age 6. He currently plays for the high school varsiety team during the school year and the local American Legion Baseball team in the summers. His batting average this year is .790. You've seen him do a good job at short stop, second base, first base, and catcher. He is also pretty good on the mound. In his academics he makes all As and Bs. He has been in no serious trouble with the school. He has actually only received 3 write ups and they were all uniform violations as follows #1 grey undershirt instead of white undershirt, #2 wearing camo jacket inside of school building, and #3 shirt untucked under awning after school while waiting to be picked up by mother. He has been in no trouble with the law. So, would you or wouldn't you recomend him for receuitment?

Ark, I'd probably give him a shot, although Little League All-Stars don't really tell much, those are basicaly a popularity contest anyways.
Another thing, the .790 batting ave. can be a little deceiving. You'd have to look at the caliber of competition he was playing against.
I'd probably take the time to go scout him in person, look at his size, strength, etc.
