Recently I came across a neat spot to layover in the Atlanta Area...
Greenbriar Mall. The mall is nothing to write home about, but it does boast plenty of parking in the area's around it. There's an IHOP (International House Of Pancakes) there. There's a Picadilly's Cafeteria there as well. They have roaming security there, so one might wish to use the "I'm delivering" routine on them - if needed. There's a Macy's there. Also notable is a huge Burlington Coat factory <good prices on stuff there. The Burlington Coat factory is the district store, so it's big. The mall is on the west side of Atlanta, right off 285 and the Langford Parkway, also known as Routes 154 and 166. There's fast food and places to eat around the mall. The mall itself doesn't have a whole lot though, infact their food court is nearly empty. The parking though was worth mentioning as was the area's around it. it's not far from 6 Flags of GA either - within 10 miles. Buford Highway in Atlanta, east of Route 400 has a Burlington Coat Factory & Marshalls Dept. store, along with a Loredo Boot & Western Wear store. There's parking there too, that I thought was worth mentioning too.
Exit 172 off of I-20 East in GA gets you to Greenwood, SC nicely. Good country, just watch your speed in the small towns.
