I'm thinking Mother Nature and the Load Gods are at odds!
Just did a couple laps walking the pilot in waynesville NC... Lady pulls in the truck area hops out and changes her license plates then parks out front , 2 minutes later 2 troopers driving around looking for something , they go inside she takes off like a bat outta hell! What'd I miss?

SOUTH DAKOTA plates....?..
Load...shorty ...Mason City , Iowa to Davenport ...5 lbs. ..did this load several times when home with Previous carrier ...difference now .... pays $ 40. more to me for same miles.....
