I'm a veteran with Type 1 Diabetes (meaning insulin dependent). It's why I'm not still in the Army. Are there any other diabetics around here, especially those with Type 1?
I'm a little worried about trying to pass a DOT Physical for the card I would need in order to hook up with a carrier (with my own van). It looks like all big carriers require the DOT card, even if it's only to come on board and then not after that.
So if you're out there, what can you tell me about the DOT requirements? Was your examiner really hard about it? Did they just need proof of a decent A1C, or a paper from your doctor, or actually 90 days of meter records like the DOT page says?
Thanks.
