Hi,
I didn't know there was more than one Velocity. I almost hired in w/ a Velocity, & they delivered medicines to drug stores & what have ya. If this is what you're referring to, then we have the same Velocity. If it's an expediting company, then it's a different Velocity that I'm talking about.
What I had found is that you are given a route. They pay you a certain amount per route. The routes that are now paying $87/day or what have ya, used to pay $121 or something. This is why they were needing so many new drivers, because a lot of em quit.
It been awhile since I have talked to them, but what I also recall is having to do a lot of loading/unloading. They had these docks w/ 18 or how many ever doors open, which would be ok in summer, but you'd be freezing for about an hour & a half in winter while you loaded your truck if ya lived in a cold weather state. Then there's a lot of unloading at each stop.
My thinking on them, if I recall it right was something along the lines of if the pay is acceptable, not a terrible place to be in the summer, but they'd have to pay me a LOT more to do it in the winter.
