The QEW will be busy between Toronto and the border; however by driving west on Dundas Street (former Highway 5) to Peters Corners, south on COPETOWN ROAD (former highway 52) to former Highway 2 to "The Linc" Lincoln Alexander Parkway. That will take you to former Highway 20 through Smithville and continuing to Niagara falls the QEW delays could be avoided. It would add extra miles but there is a back way.
