Is this the so-call;ed 6 PLUS? Or is it the bigger one they put in the Freightliners? I have a "binder" with a six-Plus in it and the truck had 300,000 miles on it when we got it in March. 3 weeks later the trans had a mainshaft, 2 syncros, and 2 shifter forks go out of it! Lunde Peterbuilt/Intl (where wee got it) in Rockford had it REBUILT in less than 24 hours!!! But like YOU I was really pissed!

No, this is a 7 speed not the 6 plus. As a matter of fact, mine was supposed to be "beefed up" before installation to withstand the extra torque that my 300 hp kitty puts to it. I've had it back on the road for 2 weeks now and it seems to be good as new.
