HAS ANY ONE DRIIVING FORD CARGO VAN 7.3 TURBO DIESEL AMBULANCE PACKAGE. JUST WONDERING IF IT IS HOLDING UP WELL.
THEY HAVE TWIN BATTERY SYSTEM WITH ISLOATOR SWITCH FOR BATTERY
AND BIGGER ALTERNATOR AND BEEFER SUSPENSION. JUST THINKING ABOUT GOING WITH ONE. WAS TALKING TO AMBULANCE MANUFACTURE SALES REP
TOLD ME THEY COULD SELL ONE TO ME 99 CHASIS. AND PUT EQUIPMENT
I NEEDED IN IT.THAT WAY I JUST HAD TO LIFT BOX OFF AND PUT NEW CHASIS UNDER IT.JUST WONDERING IF ANY ONE HAS WENT THAT WAY.

Wow! i've never heard of that, but the twin battery system, with the isolator, sounds like a really GOOD idea! And i don't think the beefed up suspension is going to hurt any, either!

Please keep us posted if you do this deal -- i think a lot of the van drivers would be interested in your experiences with it.

Thats an excellent idea, but will be very expensive. Probabally in the $40,000 range. My community recenlt bought a 99 Ford Superduty chassis w/ powerstroke deisel for 96,000. Keep in mind that there was about 40,000 worth of radios, medical equipment, light and sirens involved. I imagine that you could get one customized with out all the compartments in the rear, as well as a bulkhead in the middle. Let us know what you come up with.
