Myself I expect to see this in more places that have gone though the uprisings this year.They got what they asked for and now dont like what they got so it has started all over.

Egypt is not a safe place for Americans to be at this time. Don't have any way of knowing whether these young men actually committed any crimes, but just being there places them in real peril. At a minimum, they were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Studying abroad probably doesn't seem so appealing to them right now. Bet they wish they were in the loving care of American police on American soil. If these three were actually involved in the Cairo protests, or engaged in any raucous behavior there, they are stupid beyond redemption. Ask Michael Fay about misbehaving on foreign soil.
