This crap's been circulating in email for years. I mean, years of saying we need to go vote in this USA Today poll. I get it several times a year. Each time, I try to explain that there's no way it could still be a valid, on-going poll after all this time, but even if it were, it's a faulty, perhaps trick poll that one shouldn't answer.
The second amendment doesn't confer any rights on us, nor does any of the other amendments. They recognize pre-existing, human rights.
You see the danger inherent in this poll? If you convince the wrong people that any man-made law is the source of your rights, then anyone who wants to deprive you of them only has to repeal the law or amendment in question, and <poof>, your right just evaporated.
