Happy New year from Syracuse New York.

I've been sick since Christmas, took 3 weeks off. First week back on the road, I'm about 95% over what ever I had. It wasn't horrible, just nagging and dragging on. Spent $2400 on general maintance items and 2 new steer tires to start the new year off. Spent $1400 to end the year having to replace my APU radiator.

Load 1 has changed how loads are dispatched. Gone is first in, first out.
Now based on a performance point system. So now it don't matter how long you have been sitting, if someone else has a higher score, they get the load over you. The powers that be think this is a great system. People that actually need to make money think otherwise. I think it's crap with inherent flaws that management can't or won't acknowlege.

Heading into year 15 with Load One, this may be the single worse decision I've seen.
Will there be a year 16??? TBD.

No biggie here. Yeah, it snowed. Its supposed to snow in Michigan in January. Now cold is a different story. Its cold, but it's been cold before.

It could be worse, we could be on the east coast.

Alberta separation movement is actually gaining support! whats happening is only a petition to get the question put on the next ballot Myself I dont think I agree Alberta could just do thier thing and still stay Canadian! separation seems extreme.

It definitely benefits the people who accept everything and don't take time off since the points do not reset. It does have a algorithm that gives more or less points based on where you rank. In theory, so someone doesn't run away with points. So creating freight socialism lol. It has some good points, but if they over come the bad still needs to be determined. All I can say is that since it started on the Jan 12th, I've remained in the middle of the pack and don't see anyway to get enough points to get to the top. Some people who thought is was great were shocked how much their rank dropped after taking 2-3 days off. One option they added which is nice, but didn't require going to a point system, you can now counter an offer for pay and times. But of course, if someone else accepts the load as sent, they get the run over you even if you have higher points.
