I have a 2010 Hino 358 that I am having issues with the turbo. A driver of mine was driving the truck and the DPF got clogged, but the driver kept driving until it wasn't accelerating anymore. Black smoke was coming out of the truck. I was able to clean and restore the DPF and I took out the turbo and it looked fine. I put in back in and turned the ignition on, but the VNT rods were not moving. I then plugged in the new turbo just to see if the rods would move when the truck is in ignition but it did not move.
I am only able to get the Hino to drive up to 35 mph. I was able to scan the truck and got the DTC Code U1123 - CAN Bus-Line Open From VNT. I assume it is some communication error.
Anyone familiar with this error code?
