2009 Ford E & 7 F series

I was reading in this months "Fortune small Business" magazine this morning that 2009 Ford E & F series trucks (not that I anticipate having the where with all to purchase one)will offer a $1200 package that includes, a in dash computer, 6 x 5 1/2 monitor, "Blue tooth" hands free phone, Garmin GPS, some type of chip that allows a "home base" to always track where the vehicle is.

Sounds like a pretty cool option. Wonder how you would get updates tho, so it's not obsolete in 2 years like most systems.

Do we get those updates or need them??? I just bet the dealers have a $200 special to update the gps and bluetooth etc. Only takes a morning off the road (even though we know it's a 15 min job).

Good for p&d guys as they don't require the updates all that often.

It would take more than that to get me to buy a Ford . They are no longer reliable for commercial use .
