If your stuck at the TA in Baltimore, about 2 miles west at intersection of Boston St. & Alice Anna is Capt. James restaurant. Great breakfast menu and the prices are great. Turn left on Alice Anna, the parking lot is right there on the left.
In the summer at the parking lot, there is an outdoor section on the water with a good seafood menu. You can get the water taxi there or the Promenade that will take you to the inner harbor. The Aquarium, USS Constellation (circa 1812 and built in Baltimore) , a WWII sub, tug and a coast guard ship that survived Pearl Harbor, a light house are all there for viewing and boarding. The science center is also there. All within a very short walk of each other. Various restaurants in the inner harbor including the "Cheese Cake Factory".
Make sure to ask the mgr on duty if its ok to leave your vehicle there after you eat, to take the water taxi. Usually ok. I think the water taxi is $10 or $15 for an all day pass.
The water taxi also goes to Ft McHenry. The new visitor center is really nice.
This year marks the 200 year anniversary of the war of 1812 and the Star Spangled Banner, so a lot going on there and Federal Hill and Patterson Park. All within walking distance if the water taxi.
OR, if you really want some exercise, the Promenade which is like a boardwalk, goes 7.2 miles around the inner harbor that will take you to all the venues except FT McHenry.
If you don't want to eat at Capt James, about 1.3 miles west from the TA on Boston St is the Korean War Memorial Park on the left. You can park there and get the water taxi.
The water taxi has about 9 or 10 stops, but each one doesn't go to all the stops. You transfer between taxis. If your gonna ride 2 or more and see the sights, you could burn a half a day to a day. If you stay in service and need to get to your vehicles, call a cab. $10 to $20 will get you back a whole lot faster, but allow some time.
There is also a huge railroad museum, with a train ride here in Baltimore on the west side.
Tons of other museums.
