Chef is a CV..ask him about his set-up. Works well in a Sprinter...

Works and cools an extended wb GMC van great and when it is not in use, i can still get (2) 52"x 48" skids in the van. It is all about using the space you have in the right way.

What kind of inverter / battery setup do you have?

Also, do you have a fixed wall for your bunk area or do you cool the whole van?

If I were going to do this, I would take the passenger seat out and put the A/C unit over there and the heater in the winter. Then it takes up no cargo room.

*** Not an expediter yet. Just thinking about it (now for 3 years )

Mike, The AC unit runs of a Honeywell 2200 Generator / Inverter. No Bulkhead just a bunk and a heavy curtain that hangs off a shower curtain rod that comes down in a few seconds. My bunk is 37 inches wide with a piano hinge through the center so that it folds to allow 2 big skids. When i need to get those bigger skids in, the AC unit gets moved up onto the bunk the the bunk is folded.

As to batteries and inverter that i use to power the frig, micro wave, TV, and a slew oof other things. I have 2 6 volt Golg Cart Batteries an a 2500 watt inverter. Ans yes the pass seat has been removed to make room for all of this "stuff"....
