20' Box Truck no lift and not dock high...HELP

I spent a little time delivering new furniture in a truck like this. It's easier to unload. You might want to talk to a Havertys type furniture outlet and contract with them. You will need a helper. Just a thought. BTW, the money was pretty decent.

    Freightliner business class

I've driven an M2 Business Class, '06 or around there. it had an MBE900. The EGR cooler failed at around 400K. It was an ok truck, but I believe a class 8 truck is a better choice for durability and comfort. Test drive one of each. The class 7's just don't handle the open road as well. IMHO...

is wanting opposite sex Co driver taboo?

I teamed with both male and female drivers. Neither situation worked for long. I made a point to set some ground rules before agreeing to team. It didn't work out. You really don't know someone until you spend some time in a truck with them. I say go for it, but meet up and spend some time over...

Drinking beer in the sleeper berth

I usually get a couple tests each year, too. I'm with FedEx Supply Chain. I wonder if this is something new for them, or just my lucky day. Not that it matters, no alcohol passes my lips unless I'm home.

Drinking beer in the sleeper berth

I was called yesterday to go for a random drug screen. For the first time in 20 or so years of driving(off and on), I was given a breathelizer test. Is this a new twist, or have they been giving these all along? I thought I would mention this for those that might think about drinking while in...

For some reason, they are finding it hard to fill this seat. The D.C is in Sparks, NV. I'm not too familiar with the area. I used to drive team also with FDCC and also tried my hand at solo with Panther, E-1. The best solo gig I had was in a truck signed on to C&M in Painesville, OH. Great...

    Im taking over!

I've driven some oplder trucks, a couple of 2000 Century Class, and an FL70. For me, getting onto an older truck is fine, as long as it is clean inside, maybe a fresh mattress, tv, fridge, micro wave. Spend some time scrubbing interior down, and give them a good bath. I , personally put more...

    Solo Straight Truck O\O Profitable?

I'm also driving solo for an owner. A few yrs ago, when the rates where higher, I might have considered getting my own truck. But, with the rates as they are now, and the economy, I am happy getting .45/mile with no expenses. However, if I were single, I might take a chance. Having a truck...
