    T-Val is Thermoking only now?

Yes, it is. Our owner had a truck that failed 3 times.... And I know a few more units of his did the same thing. So yes, FedEx said he couldn't try again for a year . Good owner tho... Some bad apples he had for units tho.

    Flat rate???

Did anyone notice, or maybe it's just me, but the classifieds section just got flooded with str8's after FedEx announced the flare rate.

    Flat rate???

My orientation was last June.... There was about 20 people. We were over dressed with slacks on, I bet you 80% using with FedEx anymore as there were some real characters in there. & people having side conversations.... Inside jokes.... It might as well been a circus. We took the advice...

    Flat rate???

I haven't seen it yet.... But I haven't checked my c-link. It wouldn't surprise me. When I was in straights... 90% of my runs were negotiated.... We made some good money. I just switched to a sprinter which is flat rate. I guess the timing was good.

    Tval- br units, help please?

You know what is interesting, the three BR units that are out there on the classifieds....are still there and unsold. I am pretty confident that they are overpriced, that's why they are not selling. Good Luck to them

    Fed adding B units...

Except I don't need to go to orientation..... Already got cleared on that. FedEx doesn't give base pates on B units. So I would have to go back to my home state, get it registered.... FedEx sends me permits.... & then go down to Cali for c-link installation.

    Fed adding B units...

Just like the title says, FedEx is adding B units. They have 25 slots available. Problem is I can't seem to find one with a decent sleeper worth a ****. I live out west.... So price has to be effective. I found a decent one in NY.... But by the time I drive it back... I might as well just...

    Tval- br units, help please?

According to someone in Green, they will make exceptions for Vehicle's up to 10 years old to stay with the fleet, sometimes longer for TVAL units. So saying its got about another 3 1/2 years of running. You could have one paid off in less than a year if your running right. The one guy I talked...

    Tval- br units, help please?

So it really seems like if you have a team willing to run up and down the east coast, then the BR units would do okay. Just not out west, definitely not with a solo

    Tval- br units, help please?

California is a whole different animal. Really is. Obviously being TVAL, I'm sure you are used for surface loads/ normal WG/ air expedite... Etc.... If you accept them or not. I'm thinking the same in a BR unit. They have to be utilized for other things than just TVAL loads, am I on the right track?

    Tval- br units, help please?

I'm sure there is more freight for teams than solo's. in any unit that's true. I keep reading month after month that LOS express center continues to be busy for all units across the board. So living out west, that may help.

    Tval- br units, help please?

It's a hard decision. I'm not planning to fail.... But you have to prepare yourself for it because so many do. What can I get into with the least exposure? Highest re-sale value? Lowest overhead? I could run it for 3-4 months and decide to put people in there to drive, and buy my own ST.

    Tval- br units, help please?

The way that FedEx originally had them designed were with sleepers. Those are the one's I'm looking at.

    Tval- br units, help please?

Zorry- I do have Reefer Experience. TVAL Trained in Green.....Thermo king even took me through their crash course. I have the cheat sheet's and all. Doesn't seem like rocket science, and I'm a fast learner. I basically started doing this in a DRY box 8 months ago, and had to learn more things...

    Tval- br units, help please?

Its a long story, being in a DR unit were flagged for White Glove as we have done about 60% of our loads being WG. Without going into to much detail, because I'm sure my O/O read's these, the Reefer has had some issue's maintaining temp. Our revenue is about the same as a DR unit with a Reefer...

    Tval- br units, help please?

I have considered that. Sprinter's get twice the mileage as a D unit does, and expenses, maintenance are half the cost. I'd like to have more flexibility of having a smaller, more manageable unit. I have gotten popped a few times for parking a D unit in a residential zone....mistake learned! I'd...

    Tval- br units, help please?

Hi There- Just wanted to get some feedback on BR Units. Anyone drive them out there? Has freight picked up? Do you get offered dry freight and also Reefer loads? I'm currently in a DR Unit, however we do not use the Reefer (very long story). I want to be an O/O, I don't want to spend 100K+...
