Looking to become a fleet owner.

To the OP, your Chevy cutaway idea is interesting but not worth it. To get enough wheelbase to do 3 skids and have a bunk you will need the 177 inch wheelbase and it's a dually. To convert to single rear wheels that will have the safe capacity to haul the weight, and the proper track width to...

    Laundry on the road

I can't remember what brand, but got them at Kroger and Walmart. It's a sheet that has detergent, fab softner and a dryer sheet all in 1 sheet....andnthey really work. I started buying them after some liquid products froze on me once (and then the even worse thawing all over). Box is blue and white.

    Frayt App 2020

Sounds like every other bid board kind of service. The 'good' stuff doesn't end up on any of them generally. It's either crap no one wants to cover or a shipper who is only concerned about price. Nothing new.

    Rookie Van Driver Questions

Leo you'd shake your head at how cheap a lot of freight moves now....even with the premium carriers. This guy is likely the new breed of driver, is essentially an employee paid by the mile with no financial responsibility at all but is told to be an independent contractor (and usually...

    Do i need Dot/mc/insurance

The bigger your "Underrrr 10,o0o gvW" decals are the less of those pesky rulez you gotta follow. I'd say the decals should be at least 36 inches high....maybe get some hats made up the same way.

    Van/box truck over 10k GVW

You'll be competing with all the cube van guys who run illegally (saying they are under 10k etc) who routinely haul heavy...so no rate bump. I would agree with the run locally idea, stay within 100 miles of home and some of that DOT pressure goes away.

May Day What’s going on banter

Was in Northern Ontario last week, services are pretty sparse, especially places to eat (so load up the RV!). Most 24hr places are like 10 to 6pm now...incl Tims. More seems open on 11 than on 17 if you take the flat way across.

May Day What’s going on banter

Check out Cochrane or Rocky Mountain House areas. Not too too far from the cities but far enough. RMH is cheaper than Cochrane but a bit more hick. Could always go full hick and move to Grand Prairie.
