    Out Of Service ( DEER)

Bambi Killer! Been there, done that, got a t-shirt. Damage to my van was $2600.00, when I hit that one on I-71 in Medina, Ohio. Glad to hear you, or anyone else, wasn't hurt.

    Windshields

The Coke works, due to the amount of acid in the mixture. You can also use Coke to clean the soap scum from tile in your bathroom. As far as using dishwashing detergent to wash you vehicle, I've always heard that's not such a good idea. Carwash soap isn't has harsh as dishwashing detergent, and...

    The (not quite) ultimate expediter

What do you think it would look like with a 12' box mounted on the rear... http://www.legacysleepers.com/images/showcase/WRQJ0J78L12T7NPV.jpg That's a Volvo VN Series with a 186" ARI Legacy Custom sleeper. Gotta love it!

    GPS System

I'm on Raceman's band wagon on the MS S&T program. I have not used the CoPilot program/system, but I've heard lots of comments about the speed of the updates, and lots of other "issues". I'm running in a cargo van, and I use MS S&T on a laptop, and I love it. Works great everywhere I've been...

    Bumper mounted generator

I was at the Flying J in Stony Ridge last week, and I saw a cargo van, I believe it was a Landstar Express driver, with a small generator mounted in the center of the front bumper. What a great idea! With an electric start, that puppy could be run while your moving down the road if needed. Just...

12 Volt Air Conditioning and Portable Power

Great information! I've "run some numbers", and it looks to me like either the Model MW1 or T154 would work great in a cargo van. Also gives me a few ideas on how to make one, and see how well it works. As far as the inverter unit goes, it would be less expensive to purchase the 1500watt unit...

    Dirty Mirriors

I use Invisible Glass® by Stoner. This is great stuff! I spray it on bugs, let it sit for a few seconds, and they come right off. Funny thing is, this product has an expiration date on the bottom of the can.

Contact terryandrene, I believe they run a raised roof van.

    Extra batteries...

Marine batteries should be sealed also. Don't know if ones cost more the the other, but marine batteries should be easier to find.

    Extra batteries...

Thank you so much. I knew, if anyone would come through, you'd be one of the first! I'll be working on this project toward the end of June, right after the PII contest is over. This will give me time to gather all of the needed supplies. Again, thanks much.

    Extra batteries...

I need some information on putting additional batteries in my cargo van. I'd like to install two extra batteries to run an inverter from, and I'd like to know how to keep them charged. I've read some of the posts from people who have done this very thing, but there isn't much detail on how this...

    > >Port-a-Potty: Neither Rene' nor I want one 'cause there are >too many public toilets and we're not incontinent. Why not >wear Depends? you'll only have to get out of van once a day >to change them. > Now I'll be able to sleep better at night, knowing that the two of you are not...
