Interested in Driving For FedEx Custom Critical

The reason we Load One drivers don't post our rates is because they vary as we are all percentage, not flat rate. I was at FDCC for six years. Landstar for one and Load One for over three years now. If you seriously want to know our rates PM me and I'll send you this years gross, miles and...

60/40 or 40/60 Split Pros and Cons

A tip for solo straight truck drivers. Unless you enjoy paying out of pocket for showers buy your fuel 50 gallons at a time. Don't fill er up unless you have a long run or are getting a great price. Sent from my XT1254 using EO Forums mobile app

60/40 or 40/60 Split Pros and Cons

Not really. That 20 percent gets eaten up quickly and a driver can waste a lot of fuel. A 40/60 driver still gets all the other write offs. Per diem is the big one for them. Remember, it's not always about what you make. It's about what you keep. Once someone learns where to buy fuel and how to...

60/40 or 40/60 Split Pros and Cons

If you have no experience go 40/60. If you have experience and knowledge of where to buy fuel at the best prices using the discount program and can control your fuel costs you'll generally do better on the 60/40. At least that was my experience. Sent from my XT1254 using EO Forums mobile app

    Is it possible?

Being willing to work and having the work available are two different things. There is not always a load available to you. Sometimes you have to wait several days for one. Sent from my XT1254 using EO Forums mobile app

    Flat Rate for FedEx CC?

Or the contractor could just ask the carrier what's going on. I'm sure an honest answer would be forthcoming.

    Choice in type of pay?

I am a Load 1 Driver/Owner. It's a good company. Honesty, integrity, fairness, no BS pretty much some up the company and the owner.

    EZ PASS??

Florida only accepts Sunpass. It's worth having even if you only occasionally take loads there. I have EZPass and it is definitely the way to go.

Flat mileage fee vs % of Compensation

Looking at this from an owner operator point of view all that matters is the all miles rate. But looking at this from a contract drivers point of view the FSC is of major importance. On the typical 40/60 split the driver gets 40% of the linehaul and the owner gets 60% plus the FSC. The owner...

    another newbie, another day

If you have small children stay home. My wife has had custody of our now 9 month old granddaughter since January. It kills me that I can't be home with them at night. There is something new happening almost all the time. Being away you miss too much. And you only get one chance per child to...

Our first month out with Fed Ex

Although $1.40 is a very low all miles rate we would have taken the load from CA to FL (if it were time for a break) if it didn't go south of Orlando and was not heavy. (Over 7000#). Our reasoning is simple. We live in North Florida and it is hard to get a load home. We have deadheaded from...

Our first month out with Fed Ex

The $1.40 rate to El Paso is a bit low but the rates Jack was quoting are great. A 761 mile run for $2046. I'm on it. ($2.69 a mile) Don't care where it is going. We are not all TVAL trucks.
