    Driver shortage

If there was a driver shortage we would all be running non stop. There is a driver retention problem which will probably never be solved because of the nature of this business. Big training companies recruit meat for the seat assuming the driver will be gone within a year. Most will. Some will...

Vantastic Article On Cargo Van Owner Operators

If I could make the same amount of money in a van I would switch from my straight truck. At 70 to 80 cents a mile I would have to run 3500 miles a week to equal what I'm currently earning driving 2000 to 2500 miles a week. I like the idea of a van but for me a straight truck is more profitable...

When I adopted my now three year old granddaughter 17 months ago, I realized had I not made the major decisions I did in the past, I would not be her Dada today. Therefore I would not change a thing. Sent from my XT1254 using EO Forums mobile app

Insurance coverage and the "multi" carrier model

Since I run more than 100,000 miles a year that extra .05 would amount to more than $5000 a year. I would gladly take it.

What's an emergency fund? To me it's a paid off credit card. But, I did manage to pay off my mortgage in June.

Getting a percentage instead of flat rate

I expect to get more money going to a bad location and less money coming back. I've never heard of those services and I don't pay to belong to anything. (Never even paid for an app) If it's not free it's not for me.

Anyone know the name of these companies running penske cube vans?

They'll probably buy the materials from Mexico and contract the labor to an American company that uses illegals for the labor.

Anyone know the name of these companies running penske cube vans?

Either your legally compliant or your not. If a carrier is willing to use those that are non compliant that's there choice but also there risk.
