    2011 sprinter repair

I liked the one on the south side of Birmingham. Always got me in quick and did it right the first time. Think I've been there 3 times. Once under load. Check engine light came on in Vance. Pulled in, they diagnosed the 2 nox sensors. Put them in, all was good.

    Cargo Van Dodge ProMaster

That's pretty good for that kind of price. How are they on snow and ice. I have Michelins with 110000 and plenty of tread still left. But at about $200 plus per tire, if the handling is about the same then yours would be the way to go.

    Cargo Van Dodge ProMaster

Been a long time since I rebuilt a motor. That type of setup sure don't seem mechanic friendly. Guess they planned on the motor out living everything else.

Espar D2 Heater $895 shipped out of Ohio !

Advanced Auto has Odessy batteries. They will fit under the seat and are maintenance free. I have one, but you will need a battery charger and ac charging source to charge it after about 30 hours. I also have an isolator to charge when engine is running.

What size Power Invertor do you need to run a 9200 BTU ac and Electric Heater?

Everything was installed by Espar of Michigan. I don't think that is an option for sprinters from MB.

What size Power Invertor do you need to run a 9200 BTU ac and Electric Heater?

I am in a sprinter. I have a AC plug on the exterior of the van that I plug the generator in. That plug is wired to a breaker box. (Similar to any home). From there one wire goes to a AC receptacle for tv, cell phone etc..., one wire goes to roof top polar cub 9200 air conditioner and one wire...

What size Power Invertor do you need to run a 9200 BTU ac and Electric Heater?

What size trailer do you have to haul the battery bank around that your gonna need to power the inverter to run the ac and heater for a fair amount of time? Perhaps you might want to consider a Honda 2000 generator instead if you're gonna go that route. I have the polar cub 9200 with the 2000...

    Continuous DEF Problems with Sprinters

Could be a software issue also. There was an update about 3 or 4 months (maybe a little more) after I bought my 2011. It had to do with the EGR valve and DEF consumption rate. Before the update, I was getting about 7500 to 8200 miles per tank of DEF. Now I get close to 12000 miles. I never let...

    Continuous DEF Problems with Sprinters

I haven't had any problems with the DEF system yet on a 2011. I ran in some heavy rain in the spring on my way to Thibodeaux LA. When I got there, it was flooded there. Delivered and went to Lake Charles to pick up heading to PA. Rain the whole time. I stopped at the Petro near Vance Al. for...

Also check out Ikea for shoe totes. They come in a three pack for $40. Great for all your storage needs. They fit inside the fender wells and are light weight. Mount easily. I just used a couple self tapping screws. They was $30 for 3 when I bought mine. I have 9 (3 three packs). Store clothing...

Insulation. If you can get the blown in stuff, that would be the way to go IMO. Does come at a price tag. Got mine done for about $700. Fills all the nooks and crannies. There are some good pics on here by those that did the insul boards. Turtle did his up real nice at a fraction of the cost...

The new Sprinter – Setting standards in quality

If I was in the market I would certainly look at it. I'd like to see what happens to the mpg under full payload. Probably not to bad. Like I said, I don't have brand loyalty or gas vs diesel preferance. Wife and I have 2 years and 26 days till retirement. So this will be my last vehicle...

The new Sprinter – Setting standards in quality

For me, it's all about the tools in the toolbox. The more tools, the more freight opportunities. I give 14 feet cargo length plus the other sprinter dims to my carrier. This year I've had 7 loads that used the 14 feet. From 13'11"x12"x6" to the whole back full to where you couldn't get a...
