What is killing all my walmart fridges?

Henboy1, By any chance, do you shut your fridge down when you are home? We would go through a fridge a year and could not figure out what the problem was. While we were at Camper World, Jim was talking with the owner and telling him how he could not understand why the fridge would die within...

    Aluminum Oil Pan Rethread

Is it the plug itself that is stripped or the head of the plug? We had a mechanic strip the head of the plug, we had to drop the pan and tap it out from the inside. It was certainly cheaper than buying a new oil pan - I think the cost was about $800. Jim said, if he is not mistaken, he was also...

    Buying a truck

We bought both our trucks from Freightliner of Knoxville - our 1st one was a very good used truck. Plus, they were very helpful when we decided to get into this business and when we were having issues with the new truck.

    stone chip

It is definitely cheaper to fix the chip than to replace the windshield. I know that Safelite or Diamond/Triumph has mobile units that come to you. The last I knew, in PA, Diamond charged $25 to repair a chip.

    MBE 900 Misfiring

Without codes it will try your patience as techs are taught to follow the codes and very few are taught any more how to listen and think diagnostics. It's a shame really because they should be taught and are more than capable of learning, guess it doesn't pay. Piper, I think you say it best by...

    MBE 900 Misfiring

Piper, Thanks for the come back. The 1st time the unit pump was replaced was at Detroit Diesel in CT, I would hope that their techs now what they are doing but that may be a stretch! The mechanic at Freightliner in Dunmore, PA thought it may be a bad part but since it started doing it again...

    MBE 900 Misfiring

They have done all types of tests on this truck and the only one that got any type of reading was Detroit Diesel in CT - that was when it showed the #3 injector was bad. The sad part was, after they replaced the injector and fired the truck, it was still making the same noise. So once again...

    MBE 900 Misfiring

I was wondering if anyone else with the MBE 900 has had any problems with your engine rapping (or like the dealer calls it - misfiring)? And if so, what was done to fix the problem? We have had to replace, both, the #3 injector and the unit pump, twice and we are still getting the...

MBE 900 oil pressure and usage question

We have a 2006 with the MBE 900 (373K) and the oil pressure usually stays the same once it is warmed up even going up hill. If you are burning a gallon of oil, every 12,000 miles, you might want to consider doing the oil changes at 10,000 miles. Since you brought up the MBE 900, we were...

    Running in -25 Temps

We are sitting in La Salle, IL and the weather station is saying, with the wind chill, it could get down to -20. I know we will have no problems since we have been in cold weather like this before. We use the Howe's, fuel in the colder states and keep up on the maintenance of our truck. We...

    Running in -25 Temps

Not sure if this was ever discussed on here before. Has anyone here ever run in temperatures from -25 to -50? What additional precautious, if any, would have to be taken to keep the truck running smoothly? I would think the last thing anyone would want was for their fuel lines to gel and the...
