I wouldn't buy a used sprinter without checking under the head cover for 'black death', and of course what others have mentioned. It is easy to do, just a few screws and the plastic cover comes off.

Your sprinter has an electric fuel pump in the fuel tank, so no extra bleeding is needed. After you change the filter, just turn the key to on position for a few seconds, than back to off, and do this for about 3 times, then just start it. Posted with my Droid EO Forum App

I would suggest to look at the camshaft position sensor. It is used only for starting, and it might be bad when hot. After the engine started, it is not used any more, so the engine will run, but if you turn it off, you won't be able to start it until the sensor cools of. Are you anywhere near...

Sky, I have 410k on my sprinter and never used fuel additive. Been with it in temps down to -5. Now, if I have to go lower than that, I will add anti gelling additive. Changed fuel filters every 60k and never had one clog. Posted with my Droid EO Forum App

Before you replace that, check the codes with a DAD or DRB-III. You are in LHM (limp home mode). It can be caused by many other things. If I were anywhere near you, I would have checked the code for you, but south Dakota is kinda far. Lol. Posted with my Droid EO Forum App

You are correct. I drive around 60 mph. Rarely I drive faster than that, but it happens on occasions.

Yep. Unbelievable, isn't it? But I am in no hurry getting anywhere, so that saves fuel. As turtle says, slow and steady wins the race even in expediting.

I bought the thickest (2" I think) and full back support. The only thing I don't like about them is, in the winter when you start driving, it feels like you just sat down on a concrete slab. It is that hard, but it gets warm and soft pretty soon.

Haven't used any fuel additives yet. My coldest temperature was -4 degrees. If I get to places where it is colder than that, I will add some anti gelling additive. 370k on my sprinter so far. Oh, I use biodiesel whenever I find it (RaceTrac in Georgia seems to have up to 5% biodiesel).
