    Damn, inflation hit sprinters hard.

Long time no see. Been away from expediting for years and now that I have a little bit of money saved up thought about looking into buying a promaster. And damn, there like 60-70k new now. When I was doing it they were like half of that. I'd imagine rates have not gone up enough to reflect...

    Doordashing in down time?

Turtle thanks I'll look into getting that. Still stand behind that's a ridiculous requirement tho LDB yeah expediting first. If otherwise you could just stay home and door dash. But I think if you're in a situation where you know you're going to most likely be sitting, could be a nice extra...

    Doordashing in down time?

Oh and it can be good money depending on where you are. Like I said I've been doing it a few months and I'm a myrtle beach which is touristy, and when I first started it was kinda slow because still winter, but now it's starting to pick up. Last week I made a decent bit over a grand working...

    Doordashing in down time?

Well first of all youre assuming Door dash has any sorta professionalism like expediting does. It doesnt. Door dash orders are normally a few miles and you can pick and choose. The cost of gas/income game that's with expediting is not as important with door dash. But yeah you are right you'd...

    Doordashing in down time?

Definitely the first time I've heard of rideshare insurance. That's some capitalistic BS. What possibly changes about an accident because I have a damn pinini in the passenger seat. I have million dollar cargo insurance but now I gotta get special coverage for baked goods. Wtf. But I...

    Doordashing in down time?

This may be a stupid question, I tried searching but couldn't find anything. Other than Turtle talking about how he does it staying home now, so maybe you have some thoughts on it. Is there any reason why you couldn't door dash if you're just sitting waiting for a load in a sprinter...

How realistic is getting to planet fitness regularly as a straight truck team?

Question for those who are OTR and use PF.....how often are they actually open 24/7? My club here is only Monday- Thursday and then 5am to 10pm the rest. But I looked at a few random locations online and saw vastly differing hours. Any insight on this? Locations close to interstates usually more...

How realistic is getting to planet fitness regularly as a straight truck team?

I have been going to PF for a few weeks now. Just my local one. I don't have any complaints. Tons of equipment to get a full body workout. The hydro beds feel awesome when my back hurts. Anytime fitness while ateam says has plenty of strip mall spots, I know I have seen some that are in tiny...

How to find a team driver?

I'm looking to get back into expediting for class B straight truck. I posted in the classifieds looking for a team mate but wanna know if there's any other options? If you call the carriers is that something they usually help with? Btw from South Carolina, do not need home time aside from...

How realistic is getting to planet fitness regularly as a straight truck team?

Thanks for the replys guys....yeah I think it's $16 a shower at a truck stop? At least it used to be. $22 a month pays for itself with one shower taking the credits out the equation. I'm looking for an owner to drive for if anyone out there wants to team who wants to treat PF as our truck stop...

How realistic is getting to planet fitness regularly as a straight truck team?

Do you think a ST would have any trouble? Hopefully a smaller sized one but idk yet. I'm willing to park a bit out of the way and walk if need be. I first thought about anytime fitness but those seen to be small strip mall locations

How realistic is getting to planet fitness regularly as a straight truck team?

I've been getting into working out and exercising a lot lately as I've been away from trucking for a few years, and I wanna get back to it now things are returning to normal from covid but I want to avoid the sedetary lifestyle as much as I can. Planet fitness definitely seems like the best...

Where do I start after buying a van?

I might be mistaken but I think it's class C same with FXCC. I gotta imagine a reportable quantity hazmat load for a van would be super rare though. Anyway to OP, obviously you can make more money having your own van, but it will be worth it to you to drive for a owner first. Learn how every...

Better times to go back to expediting? (Straight truck)

I was planning on going back to expediting earlier this year, looking for spot in straight truck for a fleet owner, and then covid happened. So I decided to wait. Things have seemed to.... stabilize sorta. Things seem a bit busier. Soo.... Hows freight?

    2 week shutdown

Yeah I hope so too but it's definately not a guarantee. To be fair, it hasn't really been sustained temps of over 80 most places yet. But that's still secondary. Just wondering what y'all thought hypothetically. Biggest problem is everyone not taking it seriously if you ask me. Especially...

    2 week shutdown

So let's say this all clears up with the warmer weather, there's a lot of evidence showing it doesn't transmit or survive as well in higher temps and humidity.... With all the shutdowns happening now, would it be a semi intelligent assumption July won't be as slow as usual?

Are we out of a job?

And when that happens, who is going to own all these vehicles to create this huge conglomerate of self driving vehicles located everywhere? Will it be the same deal as now where a company owns so many trucks and they bid on loads to send the truck to? How much will the trucks stops charge to...

Are we out of a job?

One thing to keep in mind with self driving vehicles, they will require pre planning for their deliveries. It's not the same as oh :censoredsign: we forgot to send these 2 pallets we need someone to take them right now, or oh no this machine broke we need a replacement part asap, etc.
